Helping managers recognise, respond and support
Available spots
Service Description
Give managers and supervisors the confidence to recognise when someone in their team may be struggling with their mental health and know how to respond appropriately. This practical course explores common mental health conditions, signs and symptoms, how to start supportive conversations and how to signpost someone towards appropriate help. It also looks at the manager's role in creating a supportive workplace culture, reducing stigma and understanding the importance of looking after their own mental health too. Designed for managers, supervisors and others with responsibility for people, the course provides practical knowledge and skills that can be taken straight back into the workplace. We look at the barriers that can make it difficult to talk about periods at work, challenge stigma and misconceptions, and explore practical ways organisations and managers can provide meaningful support. From workplace culture and conversations to facilities, flexibility and reasonable adjustments, the course helps create an environment where employees feel understood and supported throughout their working lives.
